Kam's Senior Session: Capturing the Casual to the Elegance in One Session

Senior photo sessions are all about telling the senior's unique story. And an important element of a successful photo shoot is finding the right location that complements the senior's personality and style. Each senior is so different with their own style, their likes, their look. I love to listen to each one and come up with locations that are "them". And each senior, like Kam's session from this past spring, can have different looks and locations that we incorporate through out the session.

Kam's session started off with a little casual grunge down by the river bridge, but ended with elegance and lights in her prom dress. I knew her first outfit would be this jean jacket/jeans, followed by an adorable vest and two piece black dress outfit by Sage and Co and KC Outfitter in Bastrop, TX (Kam was also one of my senior reps, and FYI a perk of being one of my reps is all the amazing outfits from those two boutiques!), and ending in her prom dress. I planned each location with Kam based off what her outfits would look like, who she is, and what she wanted to showcase in her images...a little bit of her casual, grunge style but with elegance and beauty mixed in. I think we nailed it. You wouldn't know that Kam had never been photographed professionally prior to her senior session! She made it look easy and stunning!
