What time of day are photography sessions?
For outdoor photography sessions in Central Texas, I shoot in the late afternoon and evening when the light is soft, warm, and most flattering (and a little cooler temp wise). This includes senior and family sessions in Smithville, Bastrop, Austin, and surrounding areas.
For in-home lifestyle sessions, I typically schedule late morning when natural light is best inside the home and babies are the happiest.
Where do photo sessions take place?
I photograph sessions throughout Central Texas, including Smithville, Bastrop, Austin, and nearby areas.
For outdoor sessions, I can offer two private country locations just outside of Smithville. These are natural, open spaces with beautiful light and a relaxed feel.
I can also travel to your property if you have a location that feels meaningful or fits your session style.
Bastrop and Smithville offer small-town and downtown areas for a more urban, lifestyle feel.
For newborn sessions, I currently offer in-home lifestyle newborn photography focused on natural light and real moments.
Do you offer digitals and products?
I do offer just digitals! I have digital packages and also combo packages with digitals and high quality professional products such as books, albums, wall art, etc.
What should we wear for photos?
The most important thing is that you feel comfortable and like yourself, especially important for seniors!
For families, choose comfortable and coordinated outfits that reflect your personal style. Consider coordinating colors rather than matching exactly. I recommend starting with mom’s outfit so you feel comfortable and beautiful, then base what everyone else wears around you. For newborns, keep it simple with plain onesies or swaddles. Soft, neutral colors work well.
What if my home isn’t photo-ready?
That’s completely okay! In-home lifestyle sessions in Central Texas are designed to feel real and relaxed, not staged or perfect. A quick tidy-up is helpful, but your home does not need to be spotless.
For newborn and family sessions, I typically use small, naturally lit areas like near windows, bedrooms, or nurseries. The focus is always on connection, not perfection. Some of the most meaningful images come from real-life details—favorite toys, nursery spaces, and the everyday moments you’ll want to remember later.
What if it rains?
If weather doesn’t cooperate for your outdoor session in Smithville, Bastrop, Austin, or surrounding areas, we will simply reschedule.
